Barre, VT, February 5, 2020: The Snell Group is pleased to announce a new member of their staff and team, Sat Sandhu. We are pleased that Sat has joined us here at The Snell Group as an Instructor & Consultant. He has worked in the Infrared business for over 20 years.

Sat started his career as an Electronic Integrated Circuit Design Engineer where his first design was a readout integrated circuit for a pyroelectric array. This was an early introduction to the world of uncooled infrared detectors. He then moved into marketing and joined a specialist optoelectronic components distributor. His prime responsibility was in optoelectronic components design. With his deep passion for teaching, he enjoyed lecturing at Oxford college.

Sandhu then joined Irisys where he focused on exploiting two-dimensional infra-red detectors for a variety of applications. The main application areas were thermal imagers in preventative and predictive maintenance. Sat worked in sales and marketing creating training materials and also trained the global sales partners on infrared technology, the products, and applications.

In 2013, Fluke acquired Irisys and he became the Thermography Services Support Manager, where he provided application support on all Fluke imaging products in a wide portion of the world.

Jim Fritz, President, and CEO of The Snell Group says “Sat is excited to join the Snell team to focus exclusively on his passion for spreading his infrared knowledge through all mediums, be it formal training, webinars, presentations, or papers at conferences.” Sat will be working out of his home in Warwick, Northampton in the UK.
