Cary Weaver

Cary joined the Snell Group in 2014 as an instructor and consultant. Cary has over 35 years of experience in the industrial field where his professional duties included: electrical maintenance, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, and consulting. To accomplish these duties he utilized multiple technologies such as IR, ultrasound, and motor circuit analysis. He has previously taught Level 1 and 2 IR classes and was a CBM instructor. Cary has worked for a variety of organizations including tire manufacturers, reliability & maintenance providers, mining companies, food processors, and for Owens Corning as the Lead PdM Technician and Maintenance Specialist where he was responsible for daily maintenance issues and the development of predictive technology strategies for 38 Owens Corning plants worldwide.

Cary’s decades of knowledge are evidenced by his wide array of certifications. His IR certifications include: Level 1/2/3 as well as Electrical Applications for Thermography, Mechanical Applications for Thermography, and Thermography for Weatherization. Cary is well versed in other PdM/CM technologies and holds certificates in Ultrasonic Equipment, Precision Maintenance, Transformer Maintenance, and Data Analysis for EMAX™. He is a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) and completed his Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB) from Villanova University.

Safety is one of his main concerns and he is NFPA 70E, Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA), and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) certified.

Cary is a proud veteran of the US Army and has served his community as a sheriff’s deputy and a criminal bailiff. He resides in Bonita Springs, FL with his family, and when not working with IR, he enjoys spending time with his wife and sons, hunting, fishing, college sports, and occasionally enjoying the local beaches.
