Thermographers have been inspecting low-slope roofs for years to locate moisture intrusion into the roof system. While the principles of how infrared is applied to this type of inspection are relatively simple, the practice is often more difficult. This presentation discusses the conditions needed for successful inspections, the various roof systems typically encountered and the patterns that will be detected.
