Rob Spring Passes NAS 410 Level 3 Thermography Qualification

The Snell Group is pleased to announce that Rob Spring, a Principal with the firm, recently passed the requirements to be designated a Level 3 IRT (Thermography) under the guidelines outlined in the National Aerospace Standard NAS 410 rev. 3.

NAS 410 rev. 3 covers the necessary qualifications required to implement a non-destructive testing program or perform thermal NDT in aerospace manufacturing, service, maintenance and overall industries. Mr. Spring is of the first group of individuals designated NAS 410, Level 3, for IRT and is now qualified to administer this test to others in the aerospace industry. This important designation also gives The Snell Group the capability to provide NAS 410 services including training, testing, and consulting.

Active in NDT with the aerospace industry since 1998, Mr. Spring has performed NDT training and consulting for a wide variety of aerospace and related material manufacturers including NASA, Boeing, Airbus, American Airlines, Northwest Airlines and United Airlines. In cooperation with Thermal Wave Imaging of Ferndale, MI, Mr. Spring and The Snell Group have often worked together offering thermal NDT Level I and II training.
