Matt Schwoegler
Matt Schwoegler is an accomplished thermographer and infrared instructor who joined The Snell Group in 2002. Currently he is the primary trainer for both the four-day Level I - Infrared for Building Applications and the two-day IR for Weatherization and Energy Audits courses. During his tenure Matt has worked with numerous state weatherization agencies and home performance contractors that are using thermal imaging for building diagnostics. He also leads Level I and Level II infrared training courses for thermographers involved with industrial maintenance applications.
Matt regularly represents The Snell Group at both regional and national home performance conferences including ACI, RESNET, EEBA, NESEA and Better Buildings, among others. He has also written articles on infrared for a number of national publications including Home Energy Magazine, Materials Evaluation, and Maintenance Solutions.
Other duties of his include technical writing and curriculum production for The Snell Group's infrared training courses and other knowledge resources such as tips and white papers.
Matt has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire and spent two years in various marketing roles in Vermont’s ski industry before discovering his passion for infrared.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, alpine skiing, and golf.
